Content and copyright
Where the videos our creators post come from, and who authorised them. Last updated 19 August 2026.
The short version
Our creators do not choose the content they post. We give it to them, our clients give it to us, and every clip is reported back to the client who asked for it.
How the permission works
- The client supplies the content. A brand, studio or creator hires STRMLY to get their video seen. They send us the footage. We do not take content from anywhere else.
- The client authorises the campaign. Engaging us includes permission for STRMLY and the creators working on that campaign to cut, edit and post that content on social platforms for the campaign. Clients confirm this in writing before a campaign opens.
- We pass it to our creators. Creators post clips we have supplied, or their own edits made from that same client's supplied material. Nothing else belongs on a STRMLY campaign.
- Every clip goes back to the client. The link to each clip, and its view count, is recorded against the campaign and shown to the client on their live report. Clients see exactly what was posted on their behalf.
If you are a creator and you get a copyright claim
Tell us. Email ishan718@gmail.com with the clip link and a screenshot of the claim. We will identify the campaign and the client it belongs to, confirm the authorisation to you in writing, and take it up with the rights holder ourselves where the client wants us to. You do not have to argue it alone, and a claim on a clip you posted for one of our campaigns does not affect what you are owed for it.
If you are a rights holder
If you believe a clip posted by one of our creators uses your content without permission, email ishan718@gmail.com with the link. We can trace any clip to the campaign and the client that supplied it, and we will take it down promptly if it should not be there. We would rather hear from you than from a platform.
What we do not do
- We do not scrape or repost content we were not given.
- We do not ask creators to find their own material for a client's campaign.
- We do not keep posting content for a client after their campaign ends.
